Dr. Ralph Hyatt is a clinical psychologist who has specialized in a variety of interest areas during his career: Delinquency, rehabilitation, school psychology, vocational/career guidance, marriage and family counseling, and pain reduction. He is a former editor of the psychology section of the magazine USA Today and has written articles and books about happiness and well-being.
Dr. Hyatt served as Chair of the Psychology Department from 1966 until 1985. The annual Hyatt Leadership Lecture honors Dr. Hyatt, and brings leading psychologists to campus to discuss important issues in the field.
